Face Coverings
Face coverings required on bus and in schoolThe best way to slow the transmission of COVID-19 in a school setting is to require all staff and students to wear face coverings throughout the day.
Students with disabilities or medical conditions that prevent a face covering may also use a clear plastic shield or another reasonable accommodation.
Face coverings will not be required in P.E., recess, band, music and other classes in which the facial covering is an obvious impediment to learning activities.
Our goal is to provide your child with the best educational experience possible with an enrollment option that fits your family's needs while taking steps to slow the transmission of COVID-19.

Entry into School
Temperature screenings will be conducted upon arrival and as needed if a student is showing any signs of illness. If the student’s temperature is 100.4oF or greater, he or she will not be allowed to go to class.
Students with a temperature of 100.4oF or greater will be guided to a room and the parent/guardian will be contacted.
The parent/guardian is expected to pick the student up within one hour. If a parent/guardian cannot be reached, or has not arrived within one hour, the emergency contact person will be called to pick up that student. This process will be evaluated prior to Labor Day and may change in the future.

Classroom prevention measures
Actions taken- socially distanced student workstations, unneeded furniture and other material moved from classrooms to enable maximum student social distancing. Six feet is the objective but may not be possible in many classroom environments.
Personal protective equipment and sanitizer-Each teacher will have access to personal protective equipment such as gloves and hand sanitizer to use as needed. Students will be encouraged to wash or sanitize their hands often, including each time the enter or leave the classroom.
Masks will be available for students if mask or face covering is left at home.
16
Change of Class
We have taken steps to minimize classroom changes and control the directional flow of students in the hallway.
Because hallways are not areas where social distancing is feasible, students will be required to wear their face covering in the hallway.
Lockers will not be issued for the 2020-2021 to reduce hallway congestion.
17
TARDY ENFORCEMENT
TARDINESS – Reporting late to school or class.
Tardiness is defined as the physical absence of a student in the classroom at the beginning of a regularly scheduled session at which he or she is scheduled to be present. A student’s tardiness shall be excused when the reason given for tardiness is acceptable to the principal or designee.
18
A student has the responsibility to be in class on time.
A student failing to make an effort to attend class in a timely manner shall be considered truant and subject to disciplinary action.
A student’s excessive unexcused tardiness shall be considered willful disobedience, and the student shall be subject to disciplinary action.

Student IDS
You will be given an ID during the first week of school.
These are very important – and they are your responsibility.
Keep them in a safe place when not being worn.
Take good care of them- they are essential.
Students MUST wear their IDs every day- to every class.
If you do not wear it you will need to get a replacement.
These cost money- so don’t forget your IDs.
This is not a negotiable policy- IDs are worn for your safety and mine.
