The Headwaters Coalition is hosting two Volunteer Work Days in the Headwaters Sanctuary on Friday, September 30 from 2:00 to 5:00 and on Saturday, October 1 from 9:00 to 12:00. We’ll meet at the main trailhead behind the baseball fields on both work days.& Come prepared for work in the woods: long pants and close toed shoes.& Headwaters volunteers are eligible for o# campus community service hours. Plus, getting involved in the Headwaters project is a great way to expand your horizons and get to know more intimately this place we call “home” here at Incarnate Word. Need more information? Organization Display Board Contest. All student organizations desiring to participate will be

provided a display board to decorate and submit for the contest. The three student organizations

receiving the most votes will receive a cash prize.&Important Dates

•October 15 ' Display board paint day ' 9 a.m. ' 2 p.m.

•November 19 ' Light the Way ' Display boards will be displayed along the Light the Way route.

SPOTLIGHT: 1ST HOME GAME TAILGATE

A veterans' benefits information session will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, October

13th at the Dr. Burton E. Grossman International Conference Center (ICC) auditorium,

located at the corner of Hwy. 281 N and E. Hildebrand Ave. Map

Each semester, UIW offers free informational sessions for prospective student veterans

and their families to answer questions about attending UIW, and using VA educational

benefits. VA Coordinator Karen Wyatt and representatives from other UIW offices,

including Admissions, Business Office, Financial Aid, and Career Services, will be on

hand to assist.
