UIW Business Plan CompetitionParticipating in the Business Plan Competition allows students to develop their entrepreneurial skills and build their resume. Teams will develop a product or service idea and create a plan to launch it in the marketplace. All teams will receive thoughtful and positive feedback from professors and other community professional volunteers as they go through their plan's development. Jessica Mitchell – MA, LMFT AssociateFocuses on relationships, communication

and spirituality. Has experience with juveniles,

mentally disabled persons and most

importantly, with university student concerns.

She works part time as a semi-professional actress.

Tamara Kiss, MS, NCC, LPC – Intern NCMHCETamara has a MS in Counseling and Psychology

from Troy University. She brings international

experience and several years of working in

settings such as private practice, substance

abuse treatment facilities and military agencies. Tamara has

worked with stress, anxiety, depression, personality disorders,

relationship issues, life transitions and career counseling. She is

Tamara is enthusiastic, loves working with the university

population and is passionate about traveling and learning

Anne Seay – MA, LPC InternAnne Seay has completed her Masters degree

in counseling at UTSA. She brings a positive,

supportive focus to the counseling relationship.

She has experience in family dynamics, stress

management and eating disorders.

Anne loves being active and outdoors, her children and

family in the mountains, at the beach–Well, just everywhere!

Sasha Wilhelm, MS, LBSW, LPC- InternSasha has a BA in Social Work and an MA in

therapy. Sasha has worked in social services,

mental health treatment facilities and

juvenile detention. Her educational specialty

is in diagnostics. She enjoys bringing humor,

creativity and pop culture into the counseling relationship.

She loves spending time with her family, cooking, road

cycling and her two angels—dogs, Pearl and Spanky.

Focuses on university counseling with

He is trained in a variety of counseling

modalities. His main focus is on the inner

resource, potential and inner strength required

of each person as they manifest themselves

through the tasks of school and life. He believes the journey to

Volunteers Needed!

Woodridge Carnival at Woodridge Elementary School Carnival Friday, October 24, from 3-6pm.  

Volunteers are needed to help with the food and game booths. Shifts: 2:30-4pm, 4-5pm, and 5-6:30pm.  

Woodridge Carnival is the largest fundraiser for Woodridge Elementary School in Alamo Heights ISD. This year our primary goal is to raise money for technology in the classroom and library, and updating our school library with new books.

What’s New Art & Musical Festival AuditionsThe Arts & Music Festival is an annual celebration of the artistic side of the UIW community, sponsored by the Honors Program and the UIW Chorale. Auditions are being held for performers who would like to be considered for the Arts & Music Festival on Thursday, Oct. 23.   Attention Students with AT Parking Permits:

The parking lot will be open for use on Monday September 15th. As a recipient of the ‘AT’ parking decal you will not be allowed to park on the main campus Monday – Thursday (8am-5pm); Campus Police will start issuing parking ticket around the September 18th to those that are still parking on main campus.

For your convenience there will be shuttle service throughout the day – as of now the shuttle is scheduled to run 6:30am to 8pm

Please note that night time parking is prohibited.
