HAndiCAp ACCessibilityThe Anderson Recreation Center is fully accessible to the physically handicapped. The Anderson

Recreation Center has an elevator serving the east parking lot and all floors of the building, as

well as a ramp serving the west, at the North “I” Street entrance. If ramp access is necessary,

please call in advance so that we can assure that all doors will be open for your use. The Dick

DeWees Community & Senior Center and the Lompoc Aquatic Center are single story structures

with street level access with automatic accessible doors.

The summer of 2015 was wonderful, but we are excited as we move towards the fallseason. Your lompoc Recreation Division Team welcomes you to the 2015 Fall Recre-ation activity Guide filled with information related to lompoc City Parks and Recre-ation Division programs, facilities and services.

as the children return to school, the days may remain warm, but we realize it will notbe long before the holidays are upon us. Your lompoc Recreation Division Team hasmany great events, classes and excursions planned to celebrate the holidays. Fromspooky craft classes, to the Turkey Trot to visits from Santa Claus…..there is some-thing for every holiday. Don’t forget the 2015 lompoc Valley Children’s ChristmasSeason Parade….an exciting time when everyone in lompoc comes together to cele-brate the beauty of “community” in lompoc. if you are looking for that perfect giftthis Christmas...…consider shopping at our upcoming craft show in november or a giftcertificate for a recreation program, or even passes to the lompoc aquatic Center!

as you turn these pages, please remember the benefits of recreation for your mind,heart and body. exercise programs are good for your physical health; the social op-portunities are good for your mental health and being happy and healthy are great foryour heart. keep in mind that we are here for you to “Create Community throughPeople, Parks & Programs”.

fAciliTiesRental facilities include the anderson Recreation Center and Dick DeWees Community& Senior Center, accommodating 30-300 people for special events, exhibition, meet-ings, etc., and the Civic auditorium, with a seating capacity of 430 for performing arts,seminars, meetings, etc. Rates will vary depending on the size of the facility needed,the type of activity and the length of the activity. applications and fee schedules areavailable at the anderson Recreation Center, 125 W. Walnut ave. Contact the FacilityManager, at 875-8095, for more information.

pArk reserVATionslarge groups are encouraged to reserve City park group picnic areas and BBQ pits.Group picnic facilities are available at Ryon Park, Beattie Park, ken adam Park andRiver Park. These group areas can accommodate large groups up to 150 persons.Please complete facility reservation forms at the anderson Recreation Center, 125 W.Walnut ave., between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.Smaller individual tables and braziers are available on a first-come, first-served basisin all parks. For more information contact 875-8100.
