The Cairns Hot Air Balloon Co. pioneered Hot Air Balloon flights in the Mareeba Valley, part of the Atherton Tablelands, in 1993. This stunning location has over 300 sunny days per year which provides the most consistent flying conditions of any Ballooning location in Australia and means we’re often still able to fly even if it’s raining on the coast.

Carried by the wind, every flight is different, with our launch and landing sights dependent on the prevailing winds each day. Beginning with an early morning pick up, guests will arrive at the launch site in time to see the inflation of the giant balloons before our first flights take to the sky in conjunction with the sunrise. We run small personal tours with a maximum of 12 people and 2 specialist guides canyoning in the Cairns rainforest where you abseil, zip line, slide and jump beside waterfalls and into pools on this tropical watercourse.
