Friday, February 14 What the Boorowa Show means to us With a strong 26 year strong tradition of the Annual Flock Ewe Competition and 125 years of Show history to celebrate, the kids at Boorowa Central School will soon set about creating an artwork displaying just what the Boorowa Show means to them. Year four and five students have been brainstorming ideas to create a piece of art, diagram, sculpture, painting and more to capture the spirit of the show. From horses to the cake pavillion, the Boorowa Show will be well-represented in the students artworks, all of which will be on display during the event. What are you making? I'm working together with Jack and we're making birds. We got a picture of birds. My pop might help because he's got lots of cages of birds. Favourite part of the Boorowa Show? Everything. Luke Dean What are you making? I'm working on some food stuff because my mum works in a food van there. She does hot dogs, chips and fairy floss. I think I’m going to draw it. Favourite part of the Boorowa Show? Miss Showgirl competition. I went in it once and I won it. I won a hairdryer so I tried to dry my hair and I got it stuck on my hair and then it wouldn't work. We go to the show every year. Tahlia Halls What are you making? Every year there's something where you make a collage or painting and this year if you're eight or over you can make a collage with a tint of hot pink so I’m doing that. My mum's best friend is a photographer so she can help. Favourite part of the Boorowa Show? It would be going in where all the art is and looking at the models. We go to the Show every year. Ellie McMahon What are you making? I'm making something out of Lego. It's a man and a dog chasing sheep and trying to put them in the pen. I'm just trying to find the time to do it. Favourite part of the Boorowa Show? We go every year and I like the working dogs. Will Daniels What are you making? I'm working on a cake and I think I might use foam to decorate it. My grandmother always makes cakes for the show so that's why I want to do it. I think she'll be happy. Favourite part of the Boorowa Show? Definitely the rides- we go every year. James Farrell What are you making? I'm working on a horse that's jumping because I’m in the show with horses. I'm taking my horse, Poppy and I’ll be jumping. Favourite part of the Boorowa Show? The proper show part- the horse riding. I go every year. Erin Ferry What are you making? I'm working with Luke so I'm making the exact same thing. Favourite part of the Boorowa Show? I like everything, we just go sometimes but only if there's farm things that don't need to be done.
