During the Big Freeze of 1963 parts of Portland Harbour were frozen over. The country nearly came to a standstill and lights went out. If there was a big freeze this coming winter with the wind turbines seizing and solar panels useless, gas from Russia being taken in Europe and none left for Britain at the end of the line, ships bringing liquefied gas unable to keep up with demand and Hinckley Point Power Station 8 years away, what are you going to do during the rest of this year to make sure that the lights do not go out and Britain does not come to a virtual standstill? Given that it costs the taxpayer £40,000-£50,000 per year to detain a person in detention centres like the Verne, what are your opinions on the UK being the only country in Europe to detain immigrants indefinitely?

Given that the UK government has increased the national debt from 76 billion in 2010 to 136 billion in 2015 (according to HM treasury estimate), can we regard this as a measure of success? Noting that this 5 year increase is about as much as all of the accumulated debt incurred over the last 200 years. Lee Dalton
