Life processes are biological/cellular activities that maintain homeostasis, keep the organism alive and propagate the species.
The life processes are metabolism, nutrition, transport, cellular respiration, synthesis, excretion, regulation, growth & development and reproduction.

You drink when you are thirsty, your urine is more watery when you've consumed more fluid than you need.
Organisms must eat regularly.
Animals must breathe. They take in O2 and breathe out CO2.
Our pancreas secretes insulin into our blood after we eat a meal and secretes glucagon when we haven't eaten for a while.
