Le Tour and Britain

• The race is over 100 years old.

• British riders have won the last two races. Does anybody know their names?

• Cycling is becoming one of the most popular sports in Great Britain. We are currently one of the best cycling countries in the world.

What you need to do to enter the competition

• I can only take 15 children on Monday 7th July.• If you would like to stand a chance of going all

you need to do is write me a letter explaining why I should take you.

• It might be that you love cycling. It may be that you’d like to experience something new. Whatever the reason make sure you write the best that you can.

• You can include pictures and diagrams if you would like. I don’t mind if you use a computer, or if you hand write it.

• It does not have to be long. But remember, you’ve got to persuade me to take you!!
