“He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, but he who walks wisely

will be delivered.”

Jeremiah 10:23

“I know, O LORD, that a man's way is not in himself, nor is it in a man who

walks to direct his steps.”

Their Conscience…

Let your conscience be your guide – is the appeal of many

But one’s conscience is not always reliable

Acts 23:1

“Paul, looking intently at the Council, said, "Brethren, I have lived my life with a perfectly good conscience

before God up to this day.”

Acts 26:9-11

II Corinthians 11:13-15

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as

II Peter 3:1-3

The Christians Authority In Morality

Jesus has all authority!

Acts 17:30-31

"Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men

that all people everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He

will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed,

having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead."

John 12:48

"He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the

word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.

Matthew 10:40

"He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives

Him who sent Me.”

II Corinthians 5:20

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of

Christ, be reconciled to God.
