WHAT IS NONPROLIFERATION?
Prevention of the spread of weapons of mass destruction (nuclear, chemical, biological) and their means of delivery*
Horizontal nuclear proliferation : spread of weapons to statesnot currently possessing nuclear weapons
Vertical nuclear proliferation : increase in number anddestructiveness of nuclear weapons within a state alreadypossessing them
* Mostly applicable to nuclear weapons as biological and chemicalweapons are banned

In 2003, the IAEA (international atomic energyagency) reported that Iran had been in breach ofits obligations to comply with provisions of itssafeguard agreement. In 2005, the IAEA Board ofGovernors voted in a rare non-consensus decisionto find Iran in non-compliance with its NPT
Safeguards Agreement and to report that non-compliance to the UN SECURITY COUNCIL.

Irans Economy Iran's currency is the rial. Today, Iran is second largest producer and exporter in
oil and petroleum produc. Recent high oil prices have allowed Iran to amass
reserves of about $30 billion, but Iran's domesticeconomy still struggles from high unemployment andinflation.
Agricultural products make up about 30 percent of Iran's non-oil exports. The sector's share of Iran's grossdomestic product, however, has been declining since the1930s. Today, services make up more than half of Iran's
GDP.

IRAN NUCLEAR WEAPONS
Iran's nuclear program began in the Shah's era, including a plan tobuild 20 nuclear power reactors.
1979, all nuclear activity was suspended. Iran started the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty in 1970, and
since February 1992 has allowed the IAEA to inspect its nuclearfacilities.
It is generally believed that Iran's efforts are focused on uraniumenrichment, though there are some indications of work on aparallel plutonium effort.
Iran claims it is trying to establish a complete nuclear fuel cycleto support a civilian energy program, but this same fuel cyclewould be applicable to a nuclear weapons development program.
Iran appears to have spread their nuclear activities around anumber of sites to reduce the risk of detection or attack.

IRAN NUCLEAR WEAPONS
Since the end of the Iran-Iraq War, They develop weapons of mass destruction.
In addition to Iran's legitimate efforts to develop itsnuclear power-generation industry, Iran appears to be following a policy of complying
with the NPT and building its nuclear power programin such a way that if the appropriate political decisionis made, know-how gained in the peaceful spherecould be used to create nuclear weapons.
Also they have purchased several nuclear warheads inthe early 1990's

ATTACKING IRAN???
Countries like USA and Israel is planning toattack Iran because of its secret mission ofdeveloping Nuclear weapons
Iran has continued enriching uranium However, the case for wars success is hard
to make. If Iran is intent on getting a bomb,
an attack would delay but not stop it But it would be difficult to attack because
exact locations are still unknown.

WHAT IF IRAN GETS THE NUCLEAR
BOMBS?
. If Iran gets the atomic bombs, it would put pressure
on other countries in the region. Many Arab countries believe it is unfair that Israel
has nuclear weapons. If Arab countries, notably Saudi Arabia but also
Egypt and possibly Syria, found themselves caughtbetween a nuclear-armed Israel and a nuclear-armedIran, it would greatly increase pressures to pursuetheir own nuclear options.
This could result in a regional arms race in theMiddle East which is likely to be quitedestabilizing, given the number and of conflicts inthe region.

WHAT CAN HAPPEN IF USA AN ISRAEL
ATTACK..??
Because of issues with Philistine most of the gulfcountries are against Israel and attack on Iran canmake the relation worst between gulf countriesand Israel.
As Iran is one of the oil rich country of Gulf region ,issues can be raised on the oil supply with westerncountries.
Like a failed mission of attacking Iraq if this missionalso fails again there will be huge loss of soldiersand money for USA.
