What were the major issues facing our country during this time?

Banks Failed Consumer prices fell and

prices of farm goods.1929-1933 value of goods and

services produced annually in the United States.

Who were our Leaders?

Florence Thompson Franklin D. Roosevelt

How did they seek to resolve these issues? The Federal government passed a bill to

help the farmers. Banks crashed on Black Tuesday

October 29, 1929. Either men just left there family so there

wasn’t as much problems.

How did race and racism factor into what was occurring?

Affected blacks more than any other groups.

Linked to racial discrimination.African Americans receiving

welfare was higher than whites.
