What is Indirect SpeechIndirect Speech is also called Reported Speech.It is used to communicate what someone else said, but without using the exact words.

Someone says something to you and later you want to tell someone else what was said. Hench on such occasions you can use indirect speech .(E.g.)He said that he was going to come.

Difference between Direct & Indirect Speech

Direct speech : “ I have no intention of quitting my job.”Indirect speech : He said he had no intention of quitting his job.

Direct speech :“Have you ever been to Phuket?”Indirect speech : She asked if I had ever been to Phuket?

Direct speech :“Can we stay more than a month on a tourist visa?”Indirect speech : The group leader asked if they could stay more than a month on a tourist visa?
