WHAT IS CSI?

(CLOVIS SUPPORT AND INTERVENTION)

WHAT IS CSI?

Confidential student educational support groups

GOALS: to increase a students confidence, decision-making skills, listening and communication skills, and problem-solving strategies.

By building these personal skills and providing support, students will be better equipped to effectively cope with peer pressures, school related stress, and

other issues of concern.

WHAT IS CSI?

All students at our school are invited to join a group. It is voluntary.

Two trained staff members use CSI curriculum to facilitate these groups.

CSI groups have 8-10 students. The group meets 1 hour per week during the school day for 8 weeks.

As a result from joining a group, students feel more connected at school.

STUDENTS RESPONSES AFTER PARTICIPATING IN A CSI GROUP

Here are some of the students responses from the survey that is given to them at the last session:

This has been such a great help. It has helped me express my feelings, which I never do. My relationships have drastically

improved.

I have learned how to communicate with others in an effective and positive way. It has helped me to open up A LOT more.

STUDENTS RESPONSES AFTER PARTICIPATING IN A CSI GROUP

I have learned better ways to let it out. This group helped me to just talk about my problems.

I have learned how to express my anger calmly. Im now more open to everyone.

I have learned to utilize resources for help, talk and be more open, and to be more confident when facing an obstacle. This group gave me a safe and reliable place to speak and express my feelings. I hope to come back.

I dont feel alone anymore, and my happiness has increased since the first day.
