Making a ZentangleStep 2: Add a few more lines. Those lines should go from one end of the paper to another. Make some lines cross over each other. This makes a few different shapes all over your paper.

Tips and Tricks

-Use patterns from my handout, Google “zentangle patterns”, or try and make up your own!

-Trace a few shapes that overlap each other instead of drawing lines. Bowls are great tools to trace circles.

So you like zentangles? Try these out:1. Make a journal by folding pieces of paper in half. Draw the lines in Step 2. When you

get home each day, fill in a shape with a pattern as a way to document how your day went. Curvy lines often show happiness and calm. Thick, zigzag lines sometimes represent anxiety or anger.

1. Go big! Zentangle a sidewalk with chalk or a window using window markers.

1. Add color! Sometimes colors can help us document how we are feeling.
