CARE PACKAGES FOR JOHNAND HIS TROOPS

Please keep bringing your items for the care packagesfor John and his troops to the church. Everyone hasbeen so generous in giving on a regular basis. Youmay bring your items to the Prayer tent in theFellowship Hall or drop them off in the church office.Cards can be dropped in the basket. Some suggesteditems are: gum, mints, crackers, cookies, hard candyis a big hit, word search or crossword puzzle books,sanitizing wipes, and water flavored packets. NOTE:We especially need beef jerky, Slim Jims, foil packedtuna or foil packed chicken, and individually packedpeanut butter.

CENTRAL'S RAMP MINISTRY - RAMP BUILD OCTOBER 17, 2015Last Saturday morning under a beautiful sky, Central's Premier Ramp Building Team gathered tobuild a 34-foot ramp for Ms. Elaine Thomas who has severe rheumatoid arthritis requiring her touse a walker 100% of the time. The fellowship was great and Ms. Thomas was so pleased with hernew ramp. It will make the task of getting down from her porch to the sidewalk a safe operationversus a dangerous one. Jim Copeland, Bill Jacob, Tom Johnson, David Labutka, Blair Mitcham,Ben Rucks, Mark Scarborough, Sonny Wedgworth, and James Whitley were assisted by Jerry Foxof Hopewell United Methodist Church (Kemper Co.). ENCOURAGEMENT - STEWARDSHIP MONTHOctober is STEWARDSHIP month, so we are not going to highlight a specific mission. We do wantto encourage everyone to prayerfully consider your financial giving to God and consider the areain which God is calling us to serve. There are many opportunities to serve within the walls ofCentral, around our local community, and around the world. Service commitment cards were givenout last Sunday. Please pray over yours and return them on Consecration Sunday. Be encouraged!

ELEMENTARY CHOIRIf you are Kindergarten - 5th Grade, you are invited to come join Mr. Tim Wise as weprepare to participate in worship during the season of Advent! We will practicebeginning on Sunday, November 1st at 5:00 p.m. in the Choir Room on 2nd Floor. Timis currently serving as interim choir director at Central and is also the choral directorat Magnolia Middle School. We will only have about 4 weeks to prepare, so it isimportant to commit to be at all practices! See you there! LITURGICAL DANCEGirls Kindergarten - 5th grade are invited to join Mrs. Caroline Carnes beginningSunday, November 1st at 4:30 p.m. to prepare to dance in all three worship serviceson December 6th. Rev. Kristina Crabtree will be working with 3 & 4 year olds, who willalso participate in the dance. BELIEVERS AROUND THE WORLDIf you are Kindergarten - 5th Grade you DO NOT want to miss this event which willbegin on Sunday, November 1st. During the month of November, students will beexperiencing Christmas in other countries on BOTH Sunday and Wednesday evenings. They will travel to Italy, Ukraine, Sweden, Sudan, Lebanon and Mexico! Sundayevenings will begin with dinner at 5:30, program at 6:00. On Wednesdays' we will meet6:00-7:00 p.m. following our Wednesday night dinner. This programming will culminatewith an event for the entire congregation on Sunday evening, December 13th.
