WETLAND BIOMASS AS A MEANS OF BIOREMEDIATION, RENEWABLE ENERGY PRODUCTION AND SUSTAINABLE FOOD PRODUCTION.

Progress in food production and industrial development has lead to short cuts in environmental responsibility and resource protection.

Food production has been developed and maximised by boosting growing nutrient availability utilising natural and limited resources of potash

and phosphate and producing ammonium nitrate and urea from natural gas consumption.

The results are impacting climate change by increased carbon dioxide production and enriching the sea bed bottom by diffuse water pollution.

Industrial Growth is driven by economics and waste product care in history has not existed, delivering considerable residues of contamination

to the undeserving environment.

Water Neutral in conjunction with a number of equipment developers have devised a solution which delivers a circular remediation producing

sustainable food production and renewable energy.

The target areas which are suitable for this development are wetland areas which are under threat from mans current and past activities.

The Wetlands of the World support the greatest biodiversity of any naturally occurring habitat with a vulnerable balance which is easily

influenced by too much or too little.

The net result of mans activity is to cause damage to these areas by pollution and water loss or diversion.

The relationship between man and these areas has been supportive until now and population dependence has resulted in competitive effects

in encroachment and water depletion.

The Solution is to manage the natural energy and potential natural energy such locations consume and can consume, and deploy the stored

results for conversion into renewable energy, sustainable food production with the benefits of pollution bioremediation, water attenuation

and purification.

Such solutions will deliver community capacity benefits but are questionably feasible under a certain size.

The Water Neutral development will at a minimum sustainably provide for a township of between 5,000 and 10,000 people depending on

housing density in the form of gas and electric energy, food production and water provision.

Employment creation creates a local economy and a satisfied community but with the vision and knowledge that environment is being saved

and supported at the same time.

Such a development will need the co-operation of a community and must be integral to all the community needs until fully established.

Commercial pressures must be managed to get the best out of such developments and therefore education and understanding the vision must

be integral to the funding requirement.

To return nature to its full and beneficial capacity can take years and the route to this goal must be supported.

The solution will be surrounding an anaerobic digestion plant consuming annually grown biomass which is environmentally harvested as

nutrient stripping from the bioremedial zones to compliment agriculture in retrieved plant nutrient provision acting as precision farming

buffer to a wetland site in need.

Water Neutral have an interest in developing and deploying such schemes but are only comfortable to disclose under NDA to participating

interest.
