Class WESTSIDE LIFE January 11, 2015 For Our Guests Becoming a Christian...We believe that it is by grace that we are saved through our response of faith, believing that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died to take the penalty of our sins on Himself, and that He was raised from the dead on the third day by the power of God. God calls people to believe in Jesus as their Savior, repent of sin in their life, make a confession of faith that Jesus is Lord and be joined to Christ and added to His church by being immersed (baptized) in His name. Having made this response of faith to God, all sin is forgiven and we receive the gift of God's Holy Spirit to live in us and to empower us to live for Jesus. All those who come to faith in Him may request immersion at any time. Becoming a Member at Westside...All believers, who by faith in Jesus have been baptized through immersion for forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit, may place their membership at Westside. You may express your desire to one of our elders or ministers, or mark the appropriate space on our visitor card. Combined Student Ministry Bible Classes...We will be having a combined Bible class (7th-12th grade) TODAY. Regular classes will resume on January 18.

Student Ministry Meeting...We will have a combined Bible class for students and their families TODAY, from 10:30-11:30am in #604. If you are unable to attend this meeting there will be a follow up session the same day at 11:45a.m. in room #604.

We rejoice with the angels at the baptism of Linda Munoz last Sunday, January 4. Be sure to meet Linda and her son, Darian.

Financial Peace University will begin TODAY, 10:30a.m.-12p.m., in #521. You may sign up online at www.daveramsey.com/fpu/classfinder or contact Doug or Kelly Oakes. If you are interested and would like to see if it is something you would want to continue for the next eight weeks you may sit in on the first class free of charge. If you are new to the class and you need a kit please contact Jeremy Luallen.

All ladies are invited to a baby shower for Christina Carlin TODAY from 1-2:30p.m., in the WAC (#520). Christina & Dustin are having a girl — they are registered at Babies R Us and Target.

Memory Makers...All ladies are invited to a scrapbook gathering to scrap your personal or church memories on Saturday, January 17, 9a.m.-12p.m., in room #308. If you have any questions, contact Jennifer Hardin (364-6472).

Gate Keepers are needed during Worship (Kids’ Praise time) and during Bible Class for the up coming year. There will be a Gate Keeper rotation list at the Guest Services Counter and at the gate where you can sign up to help. We encourage all parents and all others to sign up to help keep our children safe. The more people that sign up, the less number of times each person will have to volunteer!

A new Wednesday night ladies class has begun a new Bible study on Priscilla Shirer's, “Discerning the Voice of God”. Workbooks are $15 and can be purchased TODAY at the Guest Services Counter. Come dig into the Word with us!
