WESTON HALL WEDDING VENUE
Built in the late 1600s, Weston Hall is located in a quiet Northamptonshire village and became a haunt for some of the greatest 20th century literary figures while it was the home of the writer Sir Sacheverell Sitwell from 1923 until his death in 1988. ‘Sachie’ entertained his many literary friends, including Evelyn Waugh, Patrick Leigh Fermor, Cecil Beaton and Noel Coward at his famous house parties. Sachie’s sister, the poet Dame Edith Sitwell, was a frequent visitor. Little has changed since the 1930s, the house is full of portraits and memorabilia of the Sitwells.
Weston Hall is still a home and is available on an exclusive use basis with only a small number of weddings each year.
Today your host is food writer and MasterChef critic William Sitwell. By special arrangement, William can curate (or sometimes cook himself ) dinners for your guests the evening before your wedding – certainly a different way to start your celebrations!
WESTON HALL WEDDING BROCHURE
WESTON HALL WEDDING BROCHURE
The flames of the heart consumed me, and the mind Is but a foolish wind.
Remember only this of our hopeless love That never till Time is done
Will the fire of the heart and the fire of the mind be one.
Dame Edith Sitwell (1887-1964)
GARDENS The gardens are perfectly suited for a marquee wedding, with you and your guests able to wander the grounds and immerse yourselves in the peaceful surroundings. The gardens are a wonderful place for your drinks and canapes. Along with the Victorian Orangery, we have beautiful views and secret spots for your all-important photographs.
MARQUEE Your bespoke marquee can be provided in consultation with the marquee provider. Along with the North Front, the Topiary Garden and more secluded spots in the grounds, there is complete flexibility based on your style of wedding and number of guests attending.
CEREMONIES While the house is not able to hold a ceremony, the Topiary Garden is stunningly laid out for blessings and humanist weddings. Blessings and other ceremonies are a wonderful way to put your personalities into one of the most important steps in your lives. Choose to have your personal ceremony under canvas or in the open.
ACCOMMODATION We have luxury accommodation in the house, ideal for the Bridal party on the night of the wedding. The guests can occupy a self-contained wing of the house and each beautiful room provides the greatest level of comfort. Within yards of the house The Crown Inn offers delicious lunches and dinners throughout the week as well as great accommodation for extra guests.
The house and gardens provide a range of backdrops for photographs, from the Topiary Garden to the elegant gates of the Kitchen Garden, as well as the beautiful Victorian Orangery

CATERING & BAR SERVICES While we have no in-house caterers at Weston Hall, we recommend two local caterers, Chopping Block and Lemon Zest. Both offer mouth-watering menus using locally sourced products and are priced competitively. More information on each caterer can be found within this brochure, with sample menus and guide prices.
However, having a marquee wedding gives you flexibility to do things a little different, and if you’re looking for an alternative caterer, from fish & chips vans to vintage afternoon teas, we have the recommendations to help you plan the perfect Wedding Breakfast.
We don’t charge a corkage fee or service fee, so you’re welcome to provide all the drinks for your day, giving you the flexibility to enjoy your favourite Champagne and wine, or taking advantage of those high street deals!
