Definition of Financing Terms

The WSCA contract offers various financing methods in addition to outright purchase. These options are offered and authorized through the State of California Participating Amendment. These options are defined below:

Fair Market Value LeasesAt end of lease term, customer has option to purchase equipment at fair market value price or return equipment with no further obligation

Capital Leases Traditional financing with ownership at end of term

Cancelable Rentals Cancel with four month penalty on rental payment

All leases and rentals have a non appropriations clause to avoid fiscal commitments.

Funding to purchase or lease upon approval of credit, products available under this contract may be available to State agencies via the GS $MART (purchases) or Lease $MART program. Local agencies are able to take advantage of all options in the WSCA Master Price Agreement without restrictions.

Connectivity: Customer site installation/training includes set-up as a copier/printer ready for network installation by customers' Network Administrator, with customer telephone assistance available from Sharp for network installation. On-Site network installation assistance can be obtained on an open market basis through a separate contract from the local dealer. Contact you Government Account Executive with any questions. A digital site-survey is required.

Copier Toner Recycling Program

As part of our commitment to preserving theenvironment and reducing landfill waste, SharpImaging and Information Company of Americaoffers our customers a Toner Recycling Programfor all Sharp® copier and MFP toner cartridges.

We encourage Sharp customers to recycle byproviding a pre-paid shipping label for the returnof all used toner cartridges.

In addition, to facilitate bulk shipments and inorder to help conserve resources and reduceenergy use, Sharp provides a toner cartridgeshipping carton. This carton can be convenientlyplaced in the customer’s mailroom or near thecopier for easy collection and shipment of up to10 used cartridges.

Since the program’s inception, each month over4 tons of used toner cartridges have beenprevented from ending up in a landfill.

Through its unprecedented research and developmentefforts, Sharp has succeeded in reducing the powerconsumption of its document solution products.

Energy Star® Qualified models are those withadvanced technologies which use 10 - 50% lessenergy than the standard products in theircategory. Sharp MFPs are Energy Star Qualified.

New, state-of-the-art toner cartridges are one-fifththe size of conventional toner cartridges, requiringless packaging material and significantly lesspower consumption.

Organic photoconductive drum units have anextended life of up to one million pages.

Sharp further reduces waste by incorporatingreusable airbags for its packaging materials,eliminating the use of expanded polystyrene as apackaging material for all products under 11pounds.
