The social side of the convention is always lively too, with the annual Welcome to Vegas reception supplemented by an elegant cocktail party. The popular Framers’ Breakfast was massively oversubscribed, but well worth it for those who managed to get a ticket, and the presentations for the Tru Vue and PPFA Framing Competitions drew the crowds. The Fine Art Trade Guild booth had a steady stream of visitors and at some point every one of the whole range of programmes available to members came up for discussion over the three days. Thanks to all the members who dropped in to the booth for a chat – it was great to see you. The 2020 West Coast Art and Frame Expo and National Conference will be moving to a new location at the Rio Hotel, Las Vegas on 26-29 January. See you there. This year’s event was as action-packed as ever, with over 5,000 session places filled over the duration of the conference. With everything from digital printing, mount-cutting demos and gilding, to social media, marketing and business masterclasses, this really was the place to give your art and framing business a boost. In the Expo hall, there was plenty to be inspired by, with some notable exhibits of prints, original art, framing equipment, materials, and services.
