Some Tips

• Professional life is not and should not be void of stress, that is, stressless; what we could do however is perhaps stress-less!!

• I will check in with myself on a regular basis and ask “...what stands between me and feeling at least a little better...?”

•Asking myself what stands between me and feeling better is not preparation for the rigors of career life in midwifery care and practice; it is life itself...

In Conclusion • We are no use to ourselves or indeed anyone else unless we are looking after

ourselves

• W.R.A.P. is simply another option (The fruit pastille phenomenon!)

• “...There is nothing more deceptive than the obvious...”

• W.R.A.P. is safe, effective, cheap, often free, not psychic surgery, non-invasive and open to all

• Potential wider utilisation e.g. with individual nursing, medical and AHP staff, parents, carers, healthcare teams
