SUNDAY’S HYMNS . . .

The Church’s One Foundation Words: S.J. Stone, 1866 Music: S.S.Wesley, 1864

1. The church's one Foundation is Jesus Christ her Lord; she is His new creation, by water and the Word; from heav'n He came and sought her to be His holy bride; with His own blood He bought her, and for her life He died.

2. Elect from ev'ry nation, yet one o'er all the earth, her charter of salvation, one Lord, one faith, one birth; one holy Name she blesses, partakes one holy food, and to one hope she presses, with ev'ry grace endued.

4. 'Mid toil and tribulation, and tumult of her war, she waits the consummation of peace for ever-

more; till with the vision glorious her longing eyes are blest, and the great church victorious shall be the church at rest.

5. Yet she on earth hath union with God the Three in One, and mystic sweet communion with

those whose rest is won. O happy ones and holy! Lord, give us grace that we, like them, the meek and lowly, on high may dwell with Thee.

Jesus Draw Me Close/You Are My All In All Jesus draw me close Closer Lord to You Let the world around me fade away Jesus draw me close Closer Lord to You For I desire to worship and obey Jesus draw me close Closer Lord to You Let the world around me fade away Jesus draw me close Closer Lord to You For I desire to worship and obey. 1. You are my strength when I am weak, You are the treasure that I seek

You are my all in all Seeking You as a precious jewel, Lord, to give up I'd be a fool You are my all in all

Chorus: Jesus, Lamb of God, Worthy is Your name Jesus, Lamb of God, Worthy is Your name

2. Taking my sin, my cross, my shame, Rising again I bless Your name You are my all in all When I fall down You pick me up, When I am dry You fill my cup You are my all in all Chorus: Jesus, Lamb of God,Worthy is Your name

Jesus, Lamb of God,Worthy is Your name

Let There Be Peace On Earth WORDS & Music by: S. Miller & J. Jackson

Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me Let There Be Peace on Earth the peace that was meant to be With God as our Father brothers all are we Let me walk with my brother in perfect harmony. Let peace begin with me let this be the moment now. With ev'ry step I take let this be my solemn vow

To take each moment and live each moment in peace eternally Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me

The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven hallowed be thy name

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread

And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us

And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil;

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, And the glory forever. Amen

GOING DEEPER: Use the questions below to help you go deeper into today's Scripture & Message

throughout the week:

1. Name a time that someone acted compassionately toward you?

2. Where do you struggle with acting compassionately toward others in your life?

3. How can Jesus's examples and teachings help you to act with compassion as he did for you?
