Modern flesh and animal products are additionally full of antibiotics and additives to cattle feed like gmo soy that are HARMFUL to the health of us and our dogs/cats. Plenty real life examples of dogs and cats living healthy full lives on vegan diets too Bramble famous welsh border collie lived 25 years...Little Tyke a Lioness lived 9 years died of pneumonia in USA an ex zoo lioness who chose to not eat meat. QED it is indisputable that dogs, cats,humans, ferrets etc can thrive on nutritionally complete vegan diets. It is all about nutrition. Love me...Back to Life...I cannot say to all the animals i and my dogs caused the unnecessary deaths of for years. As the Beatles sang...Love is all you need...but....but...we know that love is not all you need if we get it wrong do things out of love that harm our dogs like feed them RAW or BARF ! that kills and makes sick so many dogs due to all the poison in antibiotics hormones additives in cattle feed just to keep animals alive long enough before killed...eeek ? non merci ! Celine Dion Canadian French singer lovely song "Loved me Back to Life" came to mind often thinking of overdoing treats or feeding dogs just what they would kill themselves on like chocolate I add... I loved my bitch...back to life...when she had stomac ulcers caused by acidity reactions in her reaction to FLESH her breed sensitive stomac could not deal with...heading to her breed speciality of STOMAC CANCER medications were not curing...then...VEGAN DIET no more ulcers...loved back to LIFE ! I gave her more TIME to live...to love me...and me to love her.

Veganism is about respecting the life of all animals. Taking a life unnecessarily for food if avoidable is what vegans avoid, and since responsible for feeding our pets it is logical to feed them vegan also.

I would hope that those promoting saving pets lives would encourage and lead by example of showing that no lives need be taken by us of animals for our pet dogs and cats. The Term Vegan Revolution means challenging prehistoric views and practices of the past. It means being open minded to change, evolution and just new ways of living and doing things. It is clear that the arguments made against humans being vegans can be the same towards our pets dogs and cats being vegans. One can believe the world is flat not round against evidence provided.

For me...the fact humans cats and dogs can and have lived full lifetimes healthily on vegan diets is enough for me. I do not therefore believe that when it is obvious this is possible that any other lives need be taken. A life of an animal is of equal value no matter what the species...is a principle of veganism...so if not necessary vegans choose not to take lives. Taxonomy....additional clarification...is evolutionary classification. now....here i come ! dogs...are descendants of a cat like creature ! and we all descended from fish that landed then took to flight...birds being the highest latest form of evolution therefore logically. hardly good to mention "bird brained"... magpies are the only non mammal that can recognise its own self in a mirror. here arecommon cat/dog ancestors of cats and dogs !

TAXONOMY.

DOGSare they Carnivores, Necrovores or Omnivores ?

This is a question about the TAXONOMY CATEGORY of physiology and classification of living organisms not a definition of what they can eat to thrive on nutritionally. In reality

Proven by thousands of real life cases of FELINES as well as CANINES all living full lives healthily on VEGAN dietsincluding a real life Lioness called Little Tyke and a Guinness Book of Records proven Vegan long lived dog called Bramble.

VEGAN dogs and cats are not a NEW phenomenonfarm dogs for decades even centuries were fed plant based foods as their staples diets by human owners and lived full lives and were even used as high energy hunting dogs.

Under the Taxonomy (classification of living organisms by physiological traits) o CARNIVORES there are also many differences regarding the degree of flesh in the diets of CARNIVORES ..which can include PLANTSPLANTS come under the CARNIVORE taxonomy in fact not just mammals or fish etc.

A Carnivore eats warm flesh of immediately killed organism. A Necrovore (like vultures can be though there are also Vegan vultures) eat putrid decaying dead a long time before eating organisms. A Herbivore eats plant organisms. Carnivores often eat the dung of herbivores so are not really 100 percent flesh based diets additionally as nutrients in dung of herbivores have vegetable matter with nutrients needed even by carnivores often.

Farley Mowat, in his book Never Cry Wolf, described his experience observing wild wolves in the Alaskan tundra. He found, to his surprise, that wolves naturally ate large amounts of grasses, proving that their diet was by no means exclusively carnivorous. Apart from that, the reasons for feeding pet dogs a wholly vegan diet include: a correctly balanced vegan diet can provide all the nutrients available in meat; when properly prepared, dogs eat, digest and assimilate said diet easily; this helps to offset the huge negative environmental impact of raising animals for food. in 2002 the World Guiness Book of Records a British dog border collie called BRAMBLE was recorded then as the longest living dog. I truly enjoyed this book. The writer has a wonderful descriptive writing style where she vividly portrays the personalities of the dogs and sceneries of nature. I took this book with me this week on a 30 minute bus commute to work and found myself almost missing my stops a few times as well as wiping tears away over the death of Floyd. I learned a lot and have a tremendous amount of respect for them and the great love and care given to the dogs. This is one story I will always love to remember.
