What do young people need in the future to live andwork in attractive rural regions?

This is the main question of this research project, that is supported by • “Sparkling Science” - research programme of Austrians Ministry of Science an Resarch• EU-Programme: Leader+• Municipality of Jesenice/SI

Project structure: 4 working phases

each phase starts and ends with a common workshop

1. Spittal/Drau Austria, 2. Val di Resia/ I, 3. Preddvor/SI, 4. Völkermarkt/A

During workshops the pupils are supported with

– scientific methods by researchers

– practical experience by Stakeholders

Between the workshops

– the students work on their own

– they are supported by their teachers

Main results translation: Ajdin Huzejrović

• Brainstorming to collect ideas

• Checking the economic, social and ecological impact of the pilot project on the region by using the game/matrix

• Working out the pilot project: concept, budget, time table, partners, PR
