Welcome to the 2014Inaugural consIgnment sale!
Welcome!
I am absolutely delighted to welcome you to the first of what Bubba and I hope are many Blue Ridge Ranch annual sales. We are pleased to have you visit us here in the gorgeous northern Texas Hill Country, what I refer to routinely as simply “God’s Country.” The work preparing to host this inaugural sale has been ongoing for literally months, and I have many to offer my per-sonal thanks to in this effort, most of whom you will find listed in the catalog on page 2. I want to offer a special word of thanks to Tessa Millsap and Molly Clubb for the countless hours they have expended in gathering consignments, pushing paper, making calls, and putting the catalog into print. I also want to personally thank Mr. Joe Valentine, one of the really good ones, for his friendship and his unflagging support of this sale effort from the time I first timidly mentioned such a possibility. It was Joe who made me dare think it could be done.
My greatest thanks, however, go to my friend and indefatigable ranch manager Bubba Bollier who has spent countless hours planning, buying materials, bossing crews, constructing pens, building buildings and roads, gathering information, pressing the flesh, talking on the telephone, making arrangements, and most especially riding herd over me. Without Bubba, there would be no sale and no working ranch here at the Blue Ridge. We are proud of the herd we have worked hard to build and the results we have seen in the shows we have attended and the many warm friendships we have made. This is our opportunity to return our gratitude, and I fondly hope that you have a great time while here with us and find some great buys to add to your own collections of these magnificent cattle we all enjoy so much.
Sincerely,
Your Host,John Marshall

With over 65” tip to tip horns her genetics will work with many of the top pedigrees in the industry for adding horn. Bred to my now 80”+ tip to tip WS Jamakizm son RC Bootlegger, she should calve by sale date. His first calf crop sold fast with beautiful colors, big long bodies, and great early horn growth. This should be a wonderful cross. Visit www.arrowheadcattlecompany.com for updated horn measurements and further information. OCV’d.

BReeDING: exposed to Rio Grande Chex 2/6/13 to 9/2/13.COMMeNTS: RR elusive Brindle (Loomis bred) was 68-1/4”TTT on 11/9/13. She is very close to being another young 70” plus JP Rio Grande daughter. She is bred to an 80” plus JP Rio Grande son (Rio Grande Chex). This mating will give her calf a double shot of JP Rio Grande and a double shot of brindle genetics. Not a bad combination. Her last two calves have been born on 1/18/12 and 2/6/13, so we expect her to have a calf at side by the sale date. She is gentle, colorful, name brand genetics, bred right and has horn to spare that is tilted out. You will not be disappointed with her. OCV’d.
