Medications…Medications…• Students can carry OVER THE COUNTER (OTC)

medications on their person and self-medicate when needed. Students can only carry a one-day supply, and must carry the medication in the original container.

• If the medication is prescribed, the school nurse needs to have this medication on file at MTHS. If the medication happens to be a controlled substance, staff will have to administer the medication to the student. The attendance office has the required paperwork for medication that must be administered by staff.
