Members Men’s Shed Facilities Activities and ProjectsAnyone can join the Men’s Shed

The Men’s Shed is open to all genders and those aged over 14 years. Please note youth aged 14-18 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

What do Members Do?• Build things and wreck things • Tell jokes and listen to each other• Share ideas and experiences• Discuss anything and everything• Enjoy lunch together and good company

What are the benefits?The Men’s Shed is a place to:• Meet new people and make new friends• Be connected to your community• Exchange ideas and learn new skills• Work on projects alone or help build

larger, community projects• Mentor other members• Share your knowledge and experience

How do I join the Men’s Shed?Come in and see us for a membership form or visit www.ckb.wa.gov.au/menshed.

Memberships are based on a yearly membership fee and a daily shed access fee.

These fees contribute to the upkeep of the machinery and purchase of materials.

Your first day at the Men’s ShedNew members will be inducted into the Shed and shown how to safely operate all of the machinery. You will learn how to get the best

out of a machine and materials.

Meeting AreaTake a break from your project and enjoy our recreation area - complete with pool table, TV, kitchenette, tables, chairs and lounges!

VolunteersDo you have spare time? Maybe you would

like to help out in the Men’s Shed!

The Men’s Shed values the contribution of volunteers to assist its members.

If you are interested, give us a call or pop into the Men’s Shed.

What can you do at the Men’s Shed?There is a whole range of activities you can

participate in:• General woodwork and carpentry• Basic welding• Metalwork• Men’s Shed improvements• Join in for BBQ’s• Play card and board games• Maintenance of tools and machinery• Restoring furniture• Toy making• Voluntary community projects

Bring a projectIf you have a project you want to work on

yourself, bring it along!

Have a project but can’t build it?You will find plenty of help from your mates at

the Shed – just ask.
