SATURDAY MORNING BOOK CLUB Saturday, June 25, 10:15 a.m., Rm. 110

Join the book club in June’s discussion of Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. According to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch (the world's only completely accurate book of prophecies, written in 1655, before she exploded), the

world will end on a Saturday. Next Saturday, in fact. Just before dinner. Everything appears to be going

according to Divine Plan. Except a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon—both of whom have lived amongst Earth's mortals since

The Beginning and have grown rather fond of the lifestyle—are not actually looking forward to the coming Rapture.

Read Ahead—the book for July is: All the Light We Cannot See

by Anthony Doerr.

A church-wide study entitled “The God I Am” will take a closer look at the “I Am” sayings of Jesus. This study will begin with an Introduction class on Sunday, July 3 and continue on Sunday evenings at 5:00 p.m. through August 14th. Classes will be taught by Pastor Larry and Angie Baughman at the DeSoto site. Watch future bulletins for additional details on the study and opportunities to sign up through our Registration and Attendance process. Note: A companion sermon series, also entitled “The God I Am,” begins on July 10th.
