WELCOME TO THE 30TH
Transcript of WELCOME TO THE 30TH
In 2019 we gathered together for the largest festival to date, welcoming over 30,000 attendees to the historic streets of our hometown. We had no idea what the next two years had in store for us, our community, and the world. As we prepared for festival in 2021 we knew we had to return to the streets - for the benefit of our artists, musicians, local businesses, and fellow non-profit organizations who rely on this magical weekend to sustain their work.
Throughout the planning of festival since last November, our small volunteer team, vendors, and municipal partners have worked extremely hard to make this event possible. Likewise, our artists have spent months creating new works and preparing for this weekend. To everyone who has given their time we extend our most sincere thanks.
What we ask of you this weekend is simple. Be safe, be kind to one another, and help our local artists, businesses, and institutions get back on their feet. After the many, and continuing, challenges of these past two years, they need your support like never before.
While you’re here, please be sure to explore what makes Doylestown a great place to live, work, and visit all year around - our diverse restaurants, our locally-owned businesses, and our incredible hub of museums, galleries, and cultural destinations.
This weekend we celebrate 30 years of art, culture, and community in one of the best small towns around. While we celebrate, we ask that you keep all of those who we lost in your hearts. This one is for them.
Your neighbors,Paul & Kris Boger
