5 Steps to Sharing Your Faith

1. Pray: Christians sometimes underestimate the power

of prayer in evangelism. God doesn’t need our works, He

just wants to work through us.

2. Start the Conversation: All of us struggle with

how to open a conversation with someone and talk to them

about Jesus Christ. But the next time somebody gives you

a sad story or a problem in their life, you tell them, "I will

pray and ask God to answer your request." And then pray.

And then say to them, "When God answers would you let

me know, please? Often they come back.

3. Be courageous: Many of us feel, we don't have the

authority, power, or reasoning ability to present Jesus

Christ clearly. In 1 Corinthians 2, Paul says, "I didn't

come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I shared with

you the testimony about God. He says, "I came to you in

weakness and in fear and with much trembling. My

message and my preaching were not wise and persuasive

words but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power." The

power is in the Holy Spirit and in the truth of Holy

Scripture. Tell the story of the crucifixion and how it

affects your life. It has tremendous power.

4. Keep it Simple: First, tell over and over again, that

God truly loves them. 1 Timothy 2:4 says God "wants all

men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth."

Second, they must hear that Jesus Christ died for our sins,

rose again on the third day, and ascended into heaven.

Finally, they need an invitation to repent and believe.

That's the Good News, pure and simple.

5. Make the most of every opportunity: The Bible

says, "Be very careful, then, how you live-- not as unwise,

but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because

the days are evil." That's why now is the best time to give

your neighbors, family & friends a chance to hear the

Good News, receive Jesus Christ into their hearts, and live

their lives with Him. Your efforts to reach out may prompt

any number of responses. Some neutral, some favorable,

and others less than desirable. A person's response is in

the Lord's hands, not yours.

WHY WITNESS TO OTHERS?

1. It brings glory to God -- John 15:8.

2. The Lord commands us to witness -

- Matthew 4:19; John 15:16.

3. People are lost without Christ -- 1 John

5:11,12.

4. People are receptive and will often

receive Christ when they hear the good

news of God's love and forgiveness -

- Colossians 1:6; 1 Thessalonians 1:5.

5. The love of Christ compels us because

we are convinced that one died for all;

that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for

them and was raised again. -- 2

Corinthians 5:14-15.

Invite Some One To Church Who’s Not Going To Church or Who Rarely Goes To Church or Who could use something uplifting, positive and beneficial.

In John 13:14-17 NIV Jesus said,

another’s feet.” (Meaning; serve

one another). “I have set you an

example that you should do as I

have done for you. Now that

you know these things, you will

be blessed if you do them

(meaning if you serve others).”

OUR GOAL IS TO GET EVERY MEMBER TO SERVE

6 or 12 TIMES A YEAR IN A MINISTRY OF SERVICE. You can be a faithful servant all year long, just by serving 6 or 12 times a

year. You can serve in most Tabernacle ministries faithfully for just a one year term which comes to only serving just 6 or 12 Sundays in a year.
