Come along and have a good old sing with the good folk of Burnley. Sunday 16 th December 4:30pm. Carol Service. Service of lessons and carols, with full choir, and mince pies! Plenty of favourite carols that you know and love. Wednesday 19 th December 7pm. Seasonal Music from Burnley Municipal Choir and Orchestra, and Ightenhill School Choir. Tickets £5. Refreshments available. Christmas Eve 4:30pm Simple retelling of Jesus birth, dramatized by Sunday School plus other young visitors. Carols and refreshments. A favourite with ALL ages. Christmas starts here! Christmas Eve 11:30pm Midnight Mass. The traditional way to see in Christmas Day. Timeless. Moving. Satisfying. Christmas Day 10:30am Holy Communion. And a last chance to sing those favourite carols at full volume. It isn’t Christmas day without it! Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. OUR REGULAR SERVICES

SUNDAY8:00am. Communion on Second and Fourth Sundays (breakfast after Service on Fourth Sunday):A half-hour Eucharist with no music.

10:30am. Services most Sundays with music.

Choral Communion: Fairly traditional, following “Common Worship”.

Choral Matins: No Communion, more music.

Family Service: More informal, with children and young people in the same space as adults and contributing to the service. Music may be less traditional.

6:00pm. Choral Evensong. A shorter, quieter service. Extended once a month to include Holy Communion(BCP). Special services occasionally include Deanery Choir, Ightenhill School Choir. Also some services with Healing Prayers.

WEDNESDAY10:00am.Said Communion. Alternate Wednesdays. When notat St.Peter’s service is at St.Stephens.Short Service followed by tea/coffee, biscuits and social.

OTHER STUFF WE DO

Lots of activities take place during a typical week. If you want to learn more about Christianity, try new craft type activities, listen to music, socialise, or just quietly pray or contemplate, we welcome you. Below is a small sample of what we offer:

• Lunch Club for over 60s• Creative Bible Study • Mothers Union• Learn to sing in a Choir• All age workshops which include craft

activities• Needleworking• Mens Social evenings• Music Recitals and Concerts

And there’s ABC, a successful group for adults and toddlers to discuss and learn about faith in an informal, friendly atmosphere, with refreshments. Every Thursday from 9:30am. And all are welcome to join us for a brew.

WHAT ABOUT THE YOUNG ONES?

Children and young adults play a large part in the life of St.Peter’s. They are welcome at all services, and at the 10:30am services Sunday School is available for children aged 3 to16. This includes prayers, games, singing, discussion and crafts basedon the gospel reading for the day. Activities are age appropriate, leaders have training and are DBS checked.

Those keen on singing are able to take part in some choir activities. There are Workshops during school holidays with activities that children can share in with parents, and pre school children are welcome with Mums/Dads to our Thursday morning ABC group.Toddlers and babies are always welcome and soft, quiet toys are available at the back.
