District 16 OSSTF Status of Women Scholarship

Eligibility: any student entering a college, trade school or university

Value:  $500

Criteria:  application form, 500-700 word essay (topic provided)

Deadline:  April 20th

Stephen Leacock Association's Student Humorous Short Story Competition

 3 prizes of $1000, $700, and $300

Criteria:  a humorous story or personal essay of no more than 1500 words

Deadline:  March 23rd

McMaster Engineering Entrance Scholarship 

Valued at $48 000 ($12 000 annually), the Hatch Entrance Scholarships will be

offered to 4 students entering McMaster’s Engineering 1 program.

  Application deadline is March 28, 2012.

Junior and senior boys and girls badminton tryouts will begin this

week.

Junior Boy’s Hockey TeamThe Junior Boy’s Hockey Team is reminded that they have a rescheduled hockey game

TODAY ( Feb 8th ) against Bill Crothers at the Magna Centre.

Players exit class at 1:45 pm and the bus leaves at 2:00pm . The game is played

between 3:00 and 4:30 pm.

This is a Home game so ….. Wear your White Jersey .

Horseshoe Valley This is a reminder of the trip to Horseshoe

Valley TOMORROW, Thursday Feb 9.

Please drop your skis and boards off to room 137 in the morning between 8:15 and

8:30.

Staff, please allow skiers and boarders to leave class at 2:00 to pick up their

equipment.

Students please arrange a ride at the school for 10:30 pm.

Lacrosse

There will be a Lacrosse meeting for players who are interested in playing on the Jr. or Sr. (gr. 9-12) Lacrosse team.
