Welcome to our first
Newsletter for the Comber
Public Realm Project
As the Comber Public Realm Project nears
Christmas, we would like to thank all the
businesses, residents and shoppers for their
understanding and cooperation as the scheme
progresses through the town.
FP McCann Ltd are required under contract to
cease all works on the streets to facilitate the
Christmas trading period in the town. As a
result, works will stop towards the end of
November, they will recommence on 5th
January 2015.
To facilitate this Regional Embargo period FP
McCann Ltd will minimise the fencing and
barriers on the streets. No excavations will be
left open and all areas that have been worked
on will be finished to concrete pavement
foundation, with some temporary tar
reinstatements around manholes and raised
ironwork. Regular inspections will be carried
out of all these areas during the Embargo
period and the Christmas Holidays. All area
will be made safe for pedestrian usage over
the Christmas period.
Please note that access to all trading
businesses and residential properties will be
maintained throughout.
