You will receive MANY papers throughout the year and you must have a system to keep up with them. Organizing your Binder: By Unit, or By Assignment Type Keep a place/binder at home for old material Remind 101 Text: (919) Social Media Unit 1 Trashketball and Rates Lets talk about rate! What kind of rate information do sports coaches use to make decisions about who plays? What kid of rate information do teachers use to see who understand the material from class? What kind of rate information do meteorologists use to predict weather? What other uses of rate information can you think of? Trashketball! There are three courts: Court A: easy Court B: medium Court C: difficult Trashketball Rules Team members rotate shots After you shoot, record your result Return to the end of the line for your next shot Team members will stay positive with their teammates and other teams Recording a Shot Each time you take a shot, circle the number: When you make a basket, put a slash through the number! When you are done. Write your rate on the board as well as the court you used (Court A, Court B, or Court C). 0 (0 shots) (15 shots) 1 (30 shots) Exit Ticket Using your classmates data, guess your rates for the two courts you didnt use today. Write it next to the word Prediction, on your Trashketball Stats #1 sheet. Tomorrow, you will play on those courts and see if your guesses were correct!
