Lidcombe Public School upgrade

Investing in our schoolsThe NSW Government is investing $6.7 billion over four years to deliver more than 190 new and upgraded schools to support communities across NSW. In addition, a record $1.3 billion is being spent on school maintenance over five years, along with a record $500 million for the sustainable Cooler Classrooms program to provide air conditioning to schools. This is the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.

The NSW Department of Education is committed to delivering new and upgraded schools for communities across NSW. The delivery of these important projects is essential to the future learning needs of our students and supports growth in the local economy.

Staged deliveryThis project will be delivered in three stages.

Stage One which included the new administration building with staff facilities was delivered in May 2019.

Stage Two which includes the new building, Building M, with 14 flexible learning spaces, a new library, new playground space and a new COLA is ready for occupation when school resumes Term 2, 2020.

Stage Three includes the refurbishment of the existing library into two flexible learning spaces, removal of demountable classrooms and landscaping works. The refurbishment of the library is due to commence during the Term 1 school holidays and is expected to be completed in mid 2020.
