ISSA went to school for a total of 16 years, including primary school. After she graduated from high school, she enrolled at a university, where she is currently a student. She is major-ing in Computer Animation, and plans to spend an additional three years on her education, in order to earn her Bachelor’s Degree. She plans utilize her drawing and animation skills by

working in a creative field. ISSA is also involved in the per-forming arts, and has done volunteer work with animal shel-ters and helping homeless people. She has supported herself financially by working in the restaurant industry, working as a server, bartender, host and manager. ISSA’s native language is English.

I am a student earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Animation.

Which words describe your personality? Bubbly, cheerful, creative, outgoing, intelligent.

Describe your strong sides: I am a very empathetic and creative person. I would say that I see the world a little bit differently. Growing up an an artistic person, I have always been in touch with my emotions, which helps me to be a more caring and generous human.

Describe your weak sides: Sometimes being in touch with my emotions can have a downside, because I can be sensitive and overly emotional at times.

Describe the best holiday you have had: I have always loved the beach, and the best vacation that I have ever experienced was when my family rented a condo on the beach. I have always been extremely family-oriented, and being able to have everyone in one place at my favorite place was amazing. I still remember a small gelato shop down the road where we would walk to nightly after dinner. It was the last family vacation with my grandmother, and it will al-ways be special to me.

What do you like the most about your own country:The best part of my country is the freedom that I have to do things. I am able to get whatever job I would like and travel where I would like.


Who are your idols/heroes/heroines? I have looked up to the American animator Glen Keane for a long time, because of his work on many famous animation films. I can only hope to be as good of an animator as him one day.

What are your goals in life? I hope one day to be happily married, and to have a good ca-reer working in the animation field. I want to spread as much kindness and positivity as possible through my art.

What were your childhood dreams:As a child, I had always hoped to be a writer. At a young age I had not yet discovered my love for art, but was always a gifted reader and writer. My creativity was focused on writing, but as I got older, it was refocused into art.

Which values do you rank the highest?Honesty, kindness, perserverance.

Which childhood experience made the biggest impres-sion on you? When I was young my parents divorced, and I was raised by my mother. For two years, she and I lived on our own; I watched my mother struggle to work many hours in order to give me the best life she possibly could. We didn’t have much, but we had each other. This has always impacted me because I saw that she was a hard worker, and also how selfless she was.

Which was your greatest experience or moment? Being offered my current job

Happiest: I am always happiest around family.

Funniest: I’ve had too many funny experiences to narrow it down to one moment. In my opinion, laughter is the best medi-cine.

Scariest: My parents’ divorce.

Proudest: Watching my best friend get baptized.

Most dangerous: Whitewater rafting with family. It was dan-gerous, but so much fun!

Greatest sorrow: When my grandma passed away.

What is your favorite color? Teal, because it is the color of calmness and the ocean.

What is your favorite animal? Pigs, because they are smart and adorable.

What is your favorite kind of food? Macaroni and cheese, because my mother made it for me as a child.

What is your favorite kind of music: Classic rock, I grew up listening to it with my dad.

What is your favorite kind of car: Volkswagen Vanagon, because they are classic. What is your favorite kind of pet: Dogs, because they make the best companions.

What is your favorite time of year: Fall, the colors are bright and the wind is cool.
