The Iowa State University Book Store is the official book store of Iowa State University. Owned and operated by ISU, the Univer-sity Book Store has been serving the faculty, staff, students and community for over 140 years.

The ISU Book Store began in the 1800’s in a small room in Beardshear Hall. In 1892, the Hub was com-pleted to satisfy the need for a new book store, Post Office, and waiting room for the Dinkey, the Ames-to-campus steam motor line. Here, the ISU Book Store continued its counter service operation for 66 years. In 1958, it was moved to the Memo-rial Union to expand the facilities and add new services. To satisfy the campus’s growing needs, the Book Store quickly doubled its space in 2009 in the Memorial Union.

The ISU Book Store is a vital part of our diverse academic community. We are a unique department, in that

we have the opportunity and responsi-bility to serve every student, faculty and staff member at ISU. Our services are essential to every college of the Univer-sity and our students through support of projects, activities and programs.

CLOTHING & GIFTS

The clothing and gift department offers stu-dents, faculty, staff, alumni and fans a huge variety of items to show their Cyclone pride. Along with ISU gifts and so much more, we can outfit anyone from office to game day and everywhere in between. Our Cyclone clothing reflects current styles and trends found on campus to fit any budget. We carry popular brands such as Nike, Under Armour and Champion. We also have fashionable, af-fordable apparel in the West Cyde Boutique. Shop online and have purchases shipped or use our free pick-up in store option.

ART & SUPPLIES

The Art & Supply Department offers every-thing students need for class with note-books, binders, pencils, drawing supplies

GRADUATION

Even though you are just entering ISU, the ISU Book Store is here to help students prepare for one of the more important days of their life. We not only dress graduates from head to toe, but can also help with fine quality graduation attire, official ISU ring, announcements, diploma frame and more! Our undergraduate and master’s gowns are environmentally friendly made of 100 per-cent post-consumer recycled plastic bottles.

The book department combines both course materials and general reading books. The ISU Book Store works to provide as many options for course materials as possible to accommodate every students’ needs and budgets including new, used, rental, digital and looseleaf.
