Hiawatha Public Library Hiawatha Public Library hours of oper-ation can be found by visiting their website: www.hiawathalibrary.com or the City’s website: www.hiawatha-iowa.com. Hiawatha Public Library is located at 150 Willman Street and can be reached at 319-393-1414.

Parks & Recreation Hiawatha has three developed parks—Guthridge Park, Tucker Park and Fay M. Clark Park. The park pavilions can be reserved from April through Sep-tember. Pavilion rental fee is $35 per time slot or $90 per day. Time slots are as follows: 6:00 a.m.—11:30 a.m. Noon—4:30 p.m. 5:00 p.m.—10:00 p.m. Reservations must be made in person at City Hall. Call City Hall at 319-393-1515 for availability or additional infor-mation. Hiawatha Community Center is avail-able for rental on weekday evenings and weekends. Licensed Refuse Haulers The City of Hiawatha licenses all refuse haulers authorized to pick up garbage within Hiawatha. You must contact and pay the refuse hauler of your choice. If you want to haul something to the landfill, please call Bluestem Solid Waste Agency at (319) 398-1278, to obtain their regulations.
