LOGGING ON TO THE SYSTEM Go to the Indian River County Website at www.ircgov.com Select the ON-LINE PERMITTING link. The Log-in Page appears.

You will need to provide the ‘Permit Number’ and ‘Confirmation Number’ in order to access your permit. Unlike the AIRS phone inspection system, you are not allowed to use the last three digits of your permit for a ‘Confirmation Number’ in the E-System. After entering your Permit Number and your Confirmation Number, select Continue at the bottom of the page.

PERMIT ACCESS MENU

When you view your permit, the actual information will appear here.

You may now select an option (click in the circle next to the option you wish to select), and then click on Continue. If you wish to view another permit information page, click on Back and log-in with a new permit.

You may now select an option (click in the circle next to the option you wish to select), and then click on Continue (located at the bottom of the page). To return to the previous menu, click Back (located at the bottom of the page).

TO REQUEST AN INSPECTION From the Permit Access Menu, Select the “Show Available Inspections – Request an Inspection” option by clicking in the circle next to that option, and selecting Continue at the bottom of the page. The Inspection Request Screen appears.

To schedule an inspection, Select the Inspection Type you want by clicking in the box next to correct code, and selecting Continue at the bottom of the page. INSPECTION SCHEDULING INFORMATION When you request an inspection prior to 10:00 P.M., the inspection will be made the following regular work day. An inspection requested after 10:00 P.M. will be scheduled for the day after the next regular work day.

FINAL INSPECTIONS It would be appreciated if FINAL INSPECTIONS for CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY be scheduled prior to 4:30 P.M. Building Division staff must pull paperwork from our files for Final Inspections and get it to the appropriate inspector. Although the inspection will still be on the schedule if submitted after 4:30 P.M., your consideration when scheduling FINALS would be appreciated and will assist in getting the inspectors out in the field in a timely manner. All Permit Types Issued must be scheduled for a Final Inspection (Code 999). This includes the Primary Permit (BC, BB, BR, MC, MP Permit Codes) and the Electric, Plumbing, Mechanical, Roof, Insulation, and any other sub-permits issued as a part of the Primary Project.

INSPECTION CONFIRMATION REPORT

You may Print your Confirmation Sheet by selecting Print at the bottom of the page. You may return to the Permit Access Menu by selecting Back at the bottom of the page. Note: If you wish to enter an inspection or cancel an inspection on a different permit, navigate Back to the Permit Access Menu select Back again, and you will be at the Access Permit Screen Menu. Enter the Permit Number and Confirmation Number for the next permit, and proceed.

TO CANCEL AN INSPECTION From the Permit Access Menu, Select the “Show Pending Inspections – Cancel an Inspection” option by clicking in the circle next to that option, and selecting Continue at the bottom of the page. The Pending Inspections Screen appears.

Select the Inspection you wish to cancel by clicking in the box next to the inspection code. Select Continue at the bottom of the page, to register your cancellation request, select Back at the bottom of the page to return to the Permit Access Menu.

If you have cancelled an inspection, and selected Continue, you will receive a Cancelled Inspection Confirmation Report.

You may Print your Confirmation Sheet by selecting Print on your web browser, or selecting File then Print. You can go Back to the scheduled inspection by selecting Back. Your inspection is not cancelled. You may return to the Permit Access Menu by selecting Menu.

VIEWING INSPECTION RESULTS From the Permit Access Menu, Select “Show Completed Inspection – View Result Details.”

To view the extended detail on a violation (VIOL) result, Select an inspection (click in the circle next to the inspection you wish to view), and click on Continue at the bottom of the page.

Select Back to return to the inspection result screen or Menu to return to the Permit Access Menu.

CHECK BUILDING PERMIT STATUS Review the Permit Access Menu.

Under the Permit Information section, note the Permit Status. If your permit is still under review, the Permit Status will indicate APPLY. If your permit is complete, the Permit Status will indicate READY, and the Permit Fees will show as Amount Due. If your permit has been picked up and paid for, the Permit Status will indicate ISSUED. After the first inspection has been scheduled, the Permit Status will indicate INSPECT. When a Final Inspection code has been approved, the Permit Status will indicate FINAL. When a Certificate of Occupancy has been issued, the Permit Status will indicate COED. 13
