Important times:
We do go out daily to our wonderful playground. We ask that parents do not join their child on the
playground. It is important that your child wear
closed toe shoes. When the weather gets cold, don’t forget a
jacket labeled with your child's name.

After the first 6 weeks of school parents may eat with their child.
TransportationIf there are any changes to your child’s transportation, a written note to your
child’s teacher is required. In case of an emergency change, please call the school

Your child's teacher will give you a pink card at the beginning of the year for car rider and
walker pick up.

Read for a Better Life!
What can you do at home?Choose a time to read aloud to your child at least once a
day.Show your child that reading is fun – let them see you read.
Volunteer to read to the children at school.Keep books handy.
It is never too late to start!
Backpacks
A studentstudent size backpack is needed daily. No wheels on backpacks, please. We would also like to ask that the backpack have an outside compartment for water bottles. Leaky water bottles ruin books, papers, and student work.
