Safety Planning Meeting (Save the Date) Sunday, January 27, Noon - 1:30pm, and Tuesday, January 29, 6 - 7:30pm. The mass shootings occurring across our country – especially those occurring in churches – is causing us to need to be more intentional about our safety as a congregation. To respond to this need for intentionality, we have asked one of our members, Lt. Eric Anderson (Training and Special Projects, Office of the Chief of Police, Franklin, TN), to lead a workshop to assist us in planning our care for those gathering under our roof. Eric has led work-shops like this for some time and can lead a course for us at two different times.

We welcome to the Lord’s Table all who believe that the crucified and risen Christ is present in this meal. At the table of our Lord Jesus Christ, God nourishes faith, forgives sin, and calls us to be wit-nesses to the Gospel.
We’d like to get to know you! Holy Communion is offered to all who believe that Christ is present in this meal. We Invite You to join us for any of the activities listed in these announcements. All are welcome! Everyone is asked to sign the attendance pads as they are passed down each pew. Visitors – Please leave your contact information so we can follow-up with you. LST & Lutheran Services of Georgia Merge with New Name Inspiritus! Last year, the board and staff of Lutheran Services of Tennessee and Lutheran Services of Georgia found common purpose and mission and voted to combine our two organizations into one. This month, LST and LSG will rebrand into a new name, “Inspiritus.” Inspirit means to fill with strength or courage, and that is what we do. We help individuals and families discover their inner strength and resili-ence and guide them on a path from surviving to thriving, leading to a more fulfilling life. We inspirit. LST’s staff and programs will now be known as the Middle Tennessee region of Inspiritus. While we will no longer have “Lutheran” in our name, the intention was not to move away from our Chris-tian roots and our Lutheran identity but rather to create a space where all feel welcome. All your contribu-tions will continue to stay in the Middle Tennessee region, benefitting the youth and families we serve together. We invite you to a Wine & Cheese celebration to meet Inspiritus CEO John Moeller and learn more about the future of the organization, Thursday, January 24. Drop in anytime from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m.at First Lutheran Church, 113 8th Avenue South.
