Saturday – DAY 1 Athens

Possible activities – embarkation, provisioning, relaxing, Glyfada by tram. Check in, allocation, embarkation and meeting the Skipper. After that, leisure time to explore Athens by night. We can propose restaurants, clubs or nice things to see around the area.

More info about the area:The city with the most glorious history in the world, a city worshiped by gods and people, a magical city. The enchanting capital of Greece has always been a birthplace for civilization. It is the city where democracy was born and most of the wise men of ancient times. The most important civilization of ancient world flourished in Athens and relives through some of the world’s most formidable edifices. Who hasn’t heard of the Acropolis of Athens? Photos and history of the most famous archaeological monument in Europe have made the world tour causing feelings of admiration by thousands of people.

Acropolis is nominated to be one of the 7 wonders of modern world. In fact the trademark of Athens is one of the favorites. The Holy Rock of Acropolis dates back to the 5th BC, the famous Golden Age of Perikles . Athens met times of bloom and decline, but still shines under the Attic sky gazing the future. Still sparkling like the marbles of Parthenon and the limpid white of Pentelic marble.

Sunday – DAY 2 PorosSet sail to Poros at approx. 10am. We make a swim stop on the way and approximately at 4-5pm we moor at Poros. Must see in Poros island the sunset from the old Clock tower on the top of the Hill. There is also the option of going to the Love Bay for swimming- 15 min by walk – or renting an ATV and go around the area. We can propose restaurants and bars for the leisure time at night.  More info about the area:The town of Poros is built in the shape of an amphitheatre over two hills. In antiquity Poros consisted in fact of two islands, Sphería and Kalávria, but the last explosion of the Méthana volcano in 273 BC radically changed the morphology of the area. Sphería was cut off from Méthana, and in this way Póros took its present-day form.

Lush pine trees vegetation, crystal clear beaches, a lively waterfront adorned with shops, cosy cafes and restaurants, a picturesque capital (it has been declared protected settlement) with grand traditional mansions and picturesque cobbled streets, as well as a wide selection of entertainment venues are the ingredients of this quiet, yet cosmopolitan, destination that attracts visitors from all age groups.

Monday – DAY 3 Hydra

Possible activities – Cliff diving.

Definitely the most most exciting day of the week. We sail to Hydra. No swim stop, since Hydra is an amazing place to spend your whole day. No cars or motorbikes are allowed. Plenty of activities to do like cliff diving, swimming, relaxing at sunset bars or go aroundthe market for shopping. At night again we can propose restaurants and bars.

More info about the area:Just 37 nautical miles from Athens in the Argo-Saronic Gulf, the long, narrow island of Hydra (or Ydra) is both cosmopolitan and tranquil. Donkeys and boats are the only form of transport as laws prohibit automobiles (except for a few small garbage trucks), mopeds, and even bicycles. Due to the island’s status as a national historic monument, strict building laws also regulate development, protecting Hydra’s traditional architectural style and enhancing its old-world charm. Aside from your feet, donkeys and boats are the only means of transport on Hydra. Hydra’s municipality covers 72 square kilometers. The main town is built amphitheatrically around the island’s main harbor, lined with large and small yachts, as well as traditional caicques, or fishing boats.

Shops, hotels, cafes, and tavernas line the port, while cobblestone streets and alleyways wind along the coast and climb the steep, rocky hillsides, leading to the island’s various neighborhoods and villages.Though Hydra has a year-round population of less than 2000 (per 2011 census), which can swell to 6000 over the summer, the interior is nearly uninhabited..

Tuesday – DAY 4 Ermioni

Possible activities – bike tour – night out at a specific bar.

We sail to Ermioni. On the way we make a swim stop. Ermioni has some of the best places to moor for swimming in the whole Saronic Gulf. We moor at the dock approx at 4pm.Our proposal is to rent a bike and explore the area or go swimming – always walking distance – at the small, almost private beaches of the place. At night there is a very nice cocktail bar to relax and have your drinks under the moonshine.

More info about the area:Ermioni (Ancient Hermione) can be divided into three sections. The commercial Limani port and harbour is located on the Northern side, with the lively Mandrakia on the Southern side of the peninsula.

At the Eastern end of the town, is the archaeological pine-cladded forest area called the Bisti. Here one can enjoy leisurely walks at any time of the day, as there is plenty of shade, and visit the 5th Cen. BC temple of Athena, and other ancient, Byzantine and medieval monuments. You can also swim in the clear blue sea, from the rocky coves along the Southern side of the Bisti, which overlook the islands of Dokos and Hydra. Books refer to Ermioni as a seaside town of captivating beauty. This is absolutely correct, as it still remains authentically Greek, charming, hospitable and friendly. For the visitor to Ermioni, there are numerous amenities, from banks, post office, ATM machines, doctors, dentists, pharmacies, physiotherapist, tourist office where one can also hire cars, real estate offices if you wish to buy land or property, taxis, buses to Kranidi and Kosta, various shops, supermarkets, beauty salon, hairdressers, cafes, bars and tavernas..

Wednesday – DAY 5 Methana

Possible activities – Volcano trip.

We set sail to Methana. On the way we make a swim stop and then approx. at 4-5 pm we moor at the dock. Methana is the land of Hyphaestus and there is a Volcano and thermal spa at the area. This is an optional trip we propose – but everyone books it – to the top of the mountain where the Volcano erupted hundreds of years ago. We book a mini van or bus, we do this Volcano tour with amazing view on the top of the mountain and then we take everyone to an amazing traditional taverna in a small port to have dinner. This trip costs 30EUR and includes transfer, volcano trip and dinner with unlimited wine. When they return, they have the option to go to the open air free thermal spots to relax.

More info about the area:The peninsula of Méthana with its two steep volcanic slopes is actually a volcano that emerged from the sea! Welcome the opportunity to explore a stunning volcanic landscape with dense vegetation, coastal villages and diverse flora and fauna. The establishment of the spa complex in 1870 made it a popular spa town attracting mainly senior citizens from many European countries.

Follow a fascinating route to the fishing village of Agios Geórgios and on to the Baths of Pausanias, one of the peninsula’s hot springs, or follow the footsteps of the ancient historian Pausanias to the ancient city of Méthana. In the village of Paleókastro stand the remains of the classical walls and gates of an acropolis, the rest of which fell into the sea due to a volcanic eruption. The peninsula boasts approximately 32 volcanoes. Climbing to the largest crater is a truly challenging experience. Start from Kaméni Hóra and follow the path on a 25-minute climb to the lip of the volcano. Step on now solid red lava flows and take in views of a different world of savage black, red and green crags and sharp abysses… Last but not least, soak up the atmosphere along the island’s volcanic beaches (Nissaki Ayion Anaryiron, Limniónas and Vathý).

They are all very friendly and a unique thing to see.

More info about the area:

Perdika village enchants many visitors with its simple charm. It is a small fishing village set in a pretty little bay. The traditional fish tavernas, modern cafés & bars are situated on a raised terrace above the small harbour and these are what attract the day visitor whether from Athens or Aegina Town. It is claimed that this is the best place on the island to come and enjoy a fish lunch overlooking the peaceful bay and Moni island beyond.
