Pre Enrollment
• Label on envelope: – There is a label on the outside of the packet that you
have received that tells you everything that you will need to return to the counseling center by the 18th of February. Return the items in this envelope.
• Transcript:– Your transcript is in your packet, to assist you in
planning your classes for next year. – It lists your EOI scores– If you have completed the 14 competencies/class for
personal financial literacy, the statement should be on your transcript.
– Your credit summary with total credits is listed.
• In order to be promoted to the next grade level, students must have acquired units as follows, by August 2013:

• English: choose regular or honors
• Science: If you have not taken biology, choose this one. If you have, choose a science.
• Math: Refer to the flow chart in your course catalog for your next level of math
• History: Choose regular or honors
• If you have not taken personal
financial literacy, put it as one of your electives. It is required.
• Choose your courses wisely to help you prepare to graduate and achieve your post-high school goal.
• You are committing to take these courses for 2013-14.
• Make sure that you and your parent sign this form!
Pre AP / AP Courses Pre-Advanced Placement and Advanced Placement course are offered in:
• English• Math• Science• Social Studies• Art• World Language• Music
Moore’s Pre AP courses are vertically and sequentially aligned in order to prepare students for AP coursework. Therefore, a student NOT taking Pre AP in one grade level may have his/her readiness adversely affected for the Pre AP or AP courses at the next grade level.

The State of Oklahoma requires that all students entering 9th grade must demonstrate mastery of the state academic content standards in the following subject areas in order to graduate and receive a standard diploma.

** Common Core is being added in the near future and at this time we do not know how that is going to affect your student and these requirements.**
Certificate of Distinction Students who meet the specified requirements will be recognized as graduates of distinction. They will wear a green cord during the graduation ceremony and be recognized graduation program.

SPORTS Requirements
• Must have a current physical every school year! See coach for physical form.
• After school participation IS required for all sports during season.
• Some sports require you to provide transportation to practice site.
• IF you have questions you can go to our website and click on Co-Curricular Tab, Scroll down to Athletics and you can e-mail the coach for the particular sport you are interested in and they can answer all of your questions!
In order to participate in competitive activities, a student must have passed 5 classes the previous semester and be currently passing all classes. Specific implementation of this policy will follow the regulations established by the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association.
NCAA• Any student that is going to participate in a college athletic program
under the guidance of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is responsible to register with the NCAA Clearinghouse and complete all high school coursework needed to satisfy the NCAA’s requirements. All questions should be directed to the head coach of the related sport and/or the site athletic director.

Go to our website and click on Co-Curricular tab, when the next page pulls up click on Athletics, then you find the coach for the sport that your child wishes to participate in and e-mail them any questions you may have.
Other forms in Packet Home language form must
be completed and signed every year.
Health Form needs any health conditions and medications listed. Parent/guardian signature required.
Parent Consent Forms do not worry about advisor’s name. You and your child need to sign these forms and turn it back in with the packet.

• June of your sophomore year is the last time you can apply to be on Oklahoma’s Promise
• If you are on an affidavit, you have an intent for affidavit in your packet which must be returned with a utility bill. Instructions for scheduling a new affidavit are attached to the intent sheet.
• If you are on a transfer, you have an intent sheet in your packet with instructions.
• Courses with a “#” can be repeated for credit
• Courses with a “+” is required for graduation.
• Choice of subjects will be considered as final, barring unforeseen failures.

Counseling Center.
If you have questions, write those questions on
a sheet of paper and put in the packet.
Once your counselor receives the required items, she will meet
with you to discuss your course selections and
answer your questions.
