Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, Forever. AUMC Small Group Meetings
Over the last several months, our church has been in communications with Maria King, Vitality Specialist for the Northern Piedmont District, about evangelism and how our church needs to move forward together toward discipleship and growth. At the first meeting with Maria on October 14, the group came to the conclusion that we need to work on sharing our faith with each other in small groups and then expand and grow to invite new people to join. We understand the need to know each other better in order to demonstrate to the community and our guests/visitors that we are in love with Jesus and that everyone needs to be known and valued.
At the second meeting on October 28, we chose 3 verbs: listen, love and accept. These will guide our small groups in how we relate to one another. It will remind us of ways to approach each other through ministry and evangelism and guide our mission here at Archdale.
If you would like to be a part of these small groups, please let the church office know. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Allan.
ATTN UMW: The November 12th Methodist Women’s Meeting

An Opportunity to Share with our Community
I meet with preschool through high school classes on the 1st Sunday of each month. On these Sundays I plan a service project for them to complete. Last month Brookelyn, Evelyn and I took 16 lap blankets, word find books along with handmade cards from the children to Westchester Manor to share with their residents. This month we are planning to collect items for Connecting Children to Comfort (CCTC) - https://cctcarchdale.weebly.com/ Anything is appreciated (non perishables, school supplies, hygiene products, etc). Tim Kennedy shared the information on his Facebook page and challenged everyone to help. The mission of (CCTC) is to spread love and kindness, and most importantly, to give children the basic necessities they need in order to succeed. If you would like to support the children with their November service pro-ject, please bring your donations to the Fellowship Hall lobby no later than November 3, 2019. A labeled bin will be provided. Thank you for your willingness to help our children learn what it means to be a good servant to others.
