Here are a few things to note: Our Church building has a loop system. A toilet can be found to the right at the back of the church. It has baby change facilies and disabled access. Please remember to switch your mobile phone to silent. Please join us for refreshments aſter the service. Wed love to meet you! If you are new to the church, do fill in one of our Welcomecards, which you will find at the back of the church. A prayer group meets to pray on the mezzanine half an hour before each service. Please feel free to join them. Children: During our 10:30 service, we run a Sunday Club programme for children and young people. The children come into church at the beginning of the service, then go to the Parish Centre for their own acvies, and are collected from the Parish Centre at the end of the service. Parents of babies and young children are very welcome to stay with their children for the acvies. Quesons? Ladies Guild The ladies guild will be going on an aſternoon trip to Vallum House on Tuesday (17th September). Please meet at the Parish Centre for a 12:30 departure. London City Mission - Accommodaon Request Marn Lawrence, from London City Mission will be vising to speak next Sunday at Cummersdale. Is there anyone who could accommodate Marn on the Saturday night (21st September) before the service? If so, please contact Toby Harling in the Parish Centre (Tel. 810616 / [email protected] Alan Johnston In recognion of the work Alan Johnston does for Carlisle Cathedral, he is is being installed as Lay member of the Cathedral Chapter at the service of Choral Evensong next Sunday (22nd September) at 3:00pm. Everyone is welcome to aend this service. Mission Community Service Bishop Emma will be our guest preacher at a special Mission Community Service being held at the Parish Church next Sunday at 6.30pm. This will be Bishop Emma's first visit to us. Men's Group The next church men's group meeng will be on Thursday 26th September at 7pm in Cornerstone. There will be a compeve quiz (sports / music and general knowledge), fellowship and light refreshments - please do invite your male friends along to this event. Images from a Warming Planet - Talk Carlisle One World Centre (COWC) is hosng a talk at the Borderlines book fesval. The talk is by Ashley Cooper about his book "Images from a Warming Planet" on Thursday 26th September at 7:30pm, Tullie House. Tickets (£7 each) are available from borderlinescarlisle.co.uk or from Bookends, Castle Street. Alpha Course We are starng another Alpha Course on Tuesday 1st October, at 7pm in Cornerstone. This is a free ten week course, exploring the basics of the Chrisan faith. Each session begins with a meal, followed by a short talk, and then opportunity in small groups to discuss and ask quesons. If you or anyone your know is interested in Alpha please speak to Simon ([email protected]). Home Groups If you are not in a home group and would like to be in one please contact Joan Yarker ([email protected]).
