Degree Evaluation

As required by our admission policy, all students who have earned a degree outside of the USA are required to submit an official degree evaluation from a NACES or AICE member. We recommend that students use IERF – ierf.org (an application form can be found either online or in the package we mailed to you). You can also access our online guide on how to complete a degree evaluation found at tinyurl.com/igudegree-eval.

Students who have earned degrees in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Australia, South Africa and any participant in the Bologna Process, may not have to be evaluated if the student has the transcripts sent directly from their previous university to IGlobal University. However, the Admissions Committee will determine a waiver of credential evaluation on a case-by-case basis.

iTEP – English Conditional Admissions

IGlobal University offers "English Conditional Admission" (ECA) to international students who meet all the academic requirements for a degree program but either have not achieved any of the minimum scores or have not taken any of the tests. Students will be admitted to the degree program on condition that they will study English in the IGlobal University ESL Program, or pass the iTEP exam (4.0 or higher) before they start the degree program. Students without sufficient IELTS/TOEFL/WAEC scores are required to take the iTEP placement exam once they arrive at the University. There is a $50 non-refundable fee for the exam.

Test-takers can take an iTEP Practice Test– a retired form of the real iTEP Academic-Core exam – by clicking the link below and following the instructions. This practice test is for self-evaluation and practice only, and will enable test-takers to see a preliminary assessment of their abilities.

Diversity Creates OpportunityMany people often ask what is different about IGlobal University and why should I attend the university. In the United States there are over 4,000 colleges and universities with 17 million students enrolled—over 800,000 of which are F1-VISA students. As such not every school is right for every student—students need to find their niche. As an international student advisor I want to see students be successful not only in academics but also after they graduate. Located just 20 minutes away from Washington, D.C.—the capital of the United States, IGlobal University is a career-oriented school that inspires students become innovate leaders and community conscious graduates.

How does the university do this? IGlobal University is the only school in the USA to offer an MBA program with 15 different concentrations to choose from—accredited by ACICS, which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). This allows students to earn a business degree while specializing in a specific field such as Information Technology, Accounting, etc.

Seth Godin once stated “Creating ideas that spread and connecting the disconnected are the two pillars of our new society.” Our vision and belief is that diversity creates opportunity. By creating networks that span continents, religion, and culture—we inspire innovation, personal growth, and global influence. Our small classroom sizes and regular distinguished guest speakers allow students to connect with professionals in multiple fields.

IGlobal University is also one of the few universities that strongly supports people with disabilities. We are proud of our long-standing tradition with recognizing the importance of people from all walks of life. For example, the university previouslygraduated a visually impaired student from Tunisia in the MBA program.

The international student office at IGlobal University is dedicated to assisting students from all across the world. Members of the team have assisted students with obtaining their VISAs from a wide variety of regions including: Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America. The IGlobal University international team also has extensive training in F1-VISA requirements and regulations. In addition the team makes it easy for both prospective and current students to contact a representative via phone, e-mail, web chat, and Skype.Sincerely,

Dustin CassellDirector of Student [email protected]: (703) 941-2020Skype: dustin.iglobal
