I’m Laura - that’s me in the red hat and that’s my oldest on my hip. Allow me to introduce myself; I am a wife and Mommy to three amazing lile girls. I’m the down to earth type, creative, and an incurable optimist. I believe there is beauty in everything and everyone. I was born and raised in the south and have a strong appreciation for sweet tea and the word “y’all” Nothing beats coffee in the mornings...except maybe chocolate coffee in the mornings. I love broadway musicals, blue hydrangeas, and the smell of old books. Photography has been a passion of mine for years and I am so excited to now share it with you.

I hope this packet will serve to answer your questions and explain what you can expect when you book your session. I look forward to learning more about you and designing a custom photography experience to meet your needs!

Why Shachmut Photography?There are a lot of photographers out there, so why might you choose me over somebody else?

First and foremost, I am con#dent I can deliver images that you will cherish forever. I aim to go beyond your traditional photograph and capture the life and emotion in each session. I want you to look back on your images and truly remember what it was like to live in that moment. As a mom, I know all too well how quickly these moments $y by, I want to freeze time for you.

Secondly, when you book your session with me, you will be geing a personal experience. No two photo sessions are alike. From location to wardrobe, I will help you every step of the way to ensure we create an experience that is unique for you - just as it should be.

Finally - I keep things simple. All packages include your digital images and you are given permission to print them as you like. You will receive watermarked images for sharing online as well as unwatermarked images for printing and hanging in your home.

SESSIONSWhat do you get?Each session includes a pre-session consultation to go over your vision, a photo shoot on location of your choice, and a disc with 25 professional images. While I maintain full ownership of all images, you will have printing rights to your pictures. If preferred, prints can be ordered through my professional lab for an additional cost.

I am in my portfolio building stage of business. As such, all packages are currently discounted at 30% off their full price. Prices are subject to change.

Portrait Session $500 $350A one-hour session at your home or outdoor location. This is perfect for families, children, engagements, maternity and senior pictures.

Events From weddings to birthdays - if you need a photographer for your event, contact me with details so we can create a custom package to meet your speci#c needs.

Your Photo Packaging

Beginning in 2014, I am excited to offer custom USBs to all clients.

Your images will be delivered to you on a beautiful leather bound USB with magnetic closure.

If you prefer to have your images delivered on disc, just let me know and that can be easily arranged.

What to wear?The most common question I get is “What should we wear?” I’m always

happy to provide suggestions during your pre-shoot consult. I want you and yours to feel amazing in front of the camera! Here are some tips to

keep in mind when thinking about how to dress you or your family.

Here are a few helpful tips:

- wear clothes that are coordinating, but not completely matching. Pick a color scheme that is complimented by neutrals.

- avoid clothes that have large logos or words on them - they draw aention away from the face.

- make sure you are comfortable and can move around easily

- #nd a coordinating color and mix solids and paerns to create visual interest

- avoid too much neon. Those bright colors will cast colors on your skin.

- layers photograph well and add depth to a picture.

- avoid eating dyed foods and drinks before the shoot. We don’t want your teeth to be too red or blue for those prey smiles.

FAQ & other detailsSo, how exactly do you say your name?- It’s not nearly as hard as it looks. Shachmut is pronounced “Shack” (like a house )and “Mut” (like a dog). Shack-Mut. Shachmut. See? Easy.

How much editing do you do? Can you make me look ("ll in the blank)- The editing I do to your images is to enhance the photo in order to give it

an artistic and beautiful #nishing. You are beautiful - and I do not do editing to make people thinner, taller, tanner etc. I am happy to help remove blemishes, bruises, cuts and scrapes that are not a permanent part of you or your kids. We all have our insecurities, but it is my job to help you see past those and to bring out the stunning person you are. You are going to shine.

What is due and when?- a $50 deposit is required when you book your session in order to hold

your date. This is put toward your session fee. The remainder of your session fee is due at the time of your photo shoot. In case of cancellations, the deposit is non-refundable.

What forms of payment do you accept?- Cash, check, major credit card, paypal, pirate treasure and gold bars are

all accepted.

Do you travel? - I’m more than happy to travel to you! Locations beyond 15 miles of

02459 will incur a milage charge at the government mileage rate of $1/mile.

How long does it take until my photos are ready?- Your images will be ready within 2-3 weeks of your session, but often

sooner as I tend to get excited about sharing them! I always try to get a sneak peek out within a day of your shoot.

Where should I print my photos?- While you are free to print your photos where you’d like, I highly

recommend using a photo lab such as www.mpix.com. Printing at chain stores can often cause color distortions. We’ll talk more about this once your images are delivered.

Can you order the photos for me?- I am happy to place orders through my preferred lab for you. Prints,

albums, canvases, or other products can all be ordered through me.
