By participating in this years Cupcake Day, your fundraising will help fund the fight against animal cruelty. For that, we thank you!

Your fundraising directly supports RSPCA WA Inspectors, Animal Care Centre and education programs.

Happy baking, and thank you again, from all our four-legged and feathered friends.

How to host your

Cupcake DayAs the host of an RSPCA Cupcake Day you are one of hundreds of Cupcake Hosts who are taking the lead in standing up against animal cruelty!

Cupcake Day can take whatever form best suits your environment – the most important thing to remember is that as well as having a fun day and eating loads of yummy cakes, Cupcake Day is about fundraising for RSPCA to ensure we can continue our lifesaving work.

Here are some ideas for making your Cupcake Day a huge success:

Organising and PlanningRally the troops – you can’t do it alone so hand pick some helpers and assign them tasks such as baking, setting up the event, helping sell cupcakes or tidying up!

• Use the posters in your host kit to advertise your event, whether you are holding it at work, school, home or a social club. Let people know how they can get involved!

• Decorate your venue and cupcakes with great downloadable resources such as bunting and cupcake wraps.

• Send emails and calendar invites to the people who you want to attend.

• Make sure you book your venue for a few hours either side of the event time so that you can set up and clean away!

Fundraising Make a day of it! Increase the donations to RSPCA by incorporating one or all of these ideas:

• Host a morning tea and charge for entry,

• Hold free dress day or animal ears day,

• Include gold coin donations to enter games such as ‘Match the Management to their pets’ or ‘Guess who’s celebrity dogs’.

• Hold a raffle; ask people to bring an unwanted gift or ask a local business to donate some prizes.

• For those budding bakers hold a Masterchef competition with categories such as most creative, best cake or best cupcake. People can pay to enter their cakes.

• If you are holding your event at work, ask your employer to match the total you raise (businesses can then use this donation as a tax deduction.)

Your fundraising page was set up for you when you registered. Make sure you PAWsonalise your fundraising page; keep it up to date with information about the event and why you are holding it; upload pictures of getting ready and baking to get people engaged.

After the event you can post pictures and link to social media so that people who couldn’t attend can still donate.

No time for baking? If you don’t have time to bake, visit Baked 180 at www.baked180.com.au and order a box or two of fresh RSPCA Cupcakes – knowing that all proceeds come to RSPCA WA!

About Baked 180

We are proud to announce that Baked 180 are our official RSPCA Cupcake Day supporters.

Baked 180 was founded by David and Jenny Nguyen and has only been operating since September 2013. They pride themselves on baking premium cupcakes with quality ingredients including, Madgascan bourbon vanilla extract, Belgian chocolate and cocoa, New Zealand butter, and cage free eggs. It was because they baked their cupcakes using cage free eggs, we approached them to source their help with raising money during the Million Paws Walk and now Cupcake Day. They would like to hopefully one day have a storefront to provide gourmet cupcakes for the rest of Perth.
