One of the first tasks was to update our vision statement. Why? A vision statement communicates both the purpose and values of the organization; a good view of what the organization will be like, feel like, act like and look like in the future. It doesn't tell you how to get there; it does set the direction for the strategic plan. Vision Statement: To be a visible, inclusive organization that advances business and community interests through leadership and advocacy. There is more work to be done in this process.
